Employment Opportunities

The Hematology department at Hopital Avicenne/ Paris 13 University will have 1 position available in November 2007:

  • An Assistant Professor position for a period of 1 to 4 years (A permanent, tenured job may be available at the end of the 4 years, but this is still being negotiated )

This job is accessible to MDs who have graduated in Hematology, Oncology , Internal medicine or pediatrics (for the last 2, some experience in Hematology would be required), and are EU citizens (or citizens from other countries that may have specific agreements for MD degrees with EU)

The job includes clinical work in our department, and clinical and possibly lab research on our favorite subjects: MDS, AML, MPD other than CML, and CLL. However, we have also a large recruitment of myelomas and lymphomas, especially T lymphomas and, because there is a large African population in this Paris area, a lot of patients with sickle cell anemia are also followed.

The net monthly wages are about 3700-4000 euros. The aim is also to help the candidate to publish as many papers as possible in peer reviewed journals during his (her) stay with us. If you are a candidate, or know candidate(s), please contact us at the address below, preferably by e-mail.
