I have has a slightly low neutropenia and hematocrit for at least 10 years. Oral ulcers started about that time but have since increased in frequency and multiple areas of the mouth are now involved. MCHC is now slightly low MCV slightly high., RDW-SD now 49.(H)Normal [<47.0]. Neuts%41.7(L) ABS.Mono0.3(L). IMM Gran were always 0 now are 0.3. I have end of the day fatigue, mild memory fog. Age, just turned 56. I have no infectious disease’s or at risk for them. So how do these stats fit into MDS? When would one start on Aranesp and Neupogen? Or just continue monitoring? Do vitamins complicate things? Thanks

Hi Dawn, Thank you for your inquiry. I would recommend getting a second opinion just to make sure you are not being undertreated and especially if there are options to help you with your quality of life issues. Here is a link to our MDS Centers of Excellence https://www.mds-foundation.org/mds-centers-of-excellence/. I am also happy to assist in arranging a preferential appointment for you. Email ahassan@mds-foundation.org. I hope this helps, Audrey
