February 14 is National Donor Day
Every year, National Donor Day reminds us of the need of donors for patients, including hair, organs, blood, platelets, bone marrow and tissues. By participating in blood and bone marrow drives or donor registration events, you can help save many lives. Contributing in these ways can be especially important for people with cancer because many cancer patients rely on life-saving transplants from donors. Giving blood is critically important right now because of a nationwide shortage, and minority donors are especially needed.
