October 25th is being marked by a global community of patients, patient groups and professionals supporting people living with MDS. October 25th represents MDS World Awareness Day. An estimated 60,000 individuals are currently living with MDS in the United States; however, more recent data have estimated much higher incidence and prevalence rates.
