If you can please advice if anyone has used this drug called arsenic. Does anyone know its response rate. Is it better than Vidaza.

    Hi Shila
My Mom had excellent results w/ arsenic(Trisenox). It is FDA approved for APL, now in clinical trials for AML, myeloma, etc. It does not work like Vidaza. We were quoted a remission rate of 40% when used with low dose ARA-C.

My father was on Trisenox. It was apparently working for him; his counts had begun to come improve. He wasn’t on anything in addition to it beside frequent transfusions.

    Best wishes,

    Kathryn
