SPAM MESSAGES: PLEASE READ

For the first time, there was an innappropriate spam message posted. I have deleted that user post and user account. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to fully prevent this kind of situation 100% from ever happening again.

Registering an account takes a few minutes which would normally deter spammers, but this one seemed to have nothing better to do with his time.

We are looking into the possibility of one of the frequent forum members to become a limited moderator with the ability to delete / remove these kind of messages in the future.

jerry, I think it was something earlier today.There was something I think about a free conference call that I saw but did not read and it was gone when this message was posted.

Jerry, no, it was early this am. It was very offensive. I don’t believe that it was a patient or caregiver, just some one promoting their own agenda. The person was on once quite awhile back promoting another inappropriate subject. Heaven forbid no one connected with the forum or mds would ever do anything like that.Just a rotten spammer.

Hi all …

I found the one to which I was referring. It was on Nov. 1st and offered us the great opportunity to play poker online. Now, I admit, I personally play free poker online, but I don’t think it does any good for my MDS. LOL!! If it did, I can hear it now, “Hey Debbie, can I go to Las Vegas to help with my MDS?” I think I would be shot. Oh well, Debbie and I wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know we all have challenges, but let’s try to look positively to the new year. God Bless.

Sorry to say, there is again a spam attack going on here – several messages with ugly content and inapropriate links… Who can do things like this on such board?! Do you think you could remove these mailing and block the users?

I believe I deleted the spam and banned / blocked the users. Unfortuneately, there are some really persistent spammers out there. So please keep us notified and we’ll try to resolve it as quickly as possible, that is unless there is someone who regularly views and posts all the time who would like to become a “moderator” that has some controls on deleting the topics.

If someone would like to volunteer then please send a message.
