Starting Dacogen

My husband just had his second BMB yesterday so we wont’t know if this is MDS high risk or acute leukemia for another week. But this specialist at Sutter’s bone marrow unit starts him on Dacogen today. I’m wondering what to expect. How well is it tolerated?? He will have the infusion 5 days in a row. By then we should know the official diagnosis.

I was on Dacogen for 2 years until it failed to work, with few or no side effects. I was on the same schedule of 5 days on and 3 weeks off. Hope it works for your husband.
