Hi Terry ~ I haven’t been here for a while but to see this post really put a smile on my face! That is just great about Bob! You are such a strong person and you have no clue as to how much you and everyone else helped me thru the tough times with my mom. I will keep praying for you and that the Lord will keep You and Bob strong for many many years to come!
AprilMemberPlease let Greg know that my prayers are with him and you and your family.

AprilMemberBarbara ~ I am so sorry to hear about Ron’s passing. I know that there is nothing I can say to take the pain away, but I wish I could. You and your family are in my prayers.
AprilMemberWell, she’s not doing any better. She didn’t get out of bed all day yesterday or today and hasn’t ate/drank a thing. She would hardly take her meds. Today she has been thrashing around in the bed because of the pain in her legs. Her pain patch was changed today and she has had 3 pain pills in the last 4 hours. She is just hurting so bad…We are going to talk to Hospice about an IV for her just so he can be comfortable. I will going over there this evening so I will let you know tomorrow what tonight brings for us…
AprilMemberPlease let Barbara and Ron know that they are in my thoughts and prayers.
AprilMemberMy mom-in-law was in a nursing home and she did not do well there either. She didn’t eat because she hated the food. We would have to take food to her that way we knew she would eat. Mom ended up with AML because of the MDS that she had. She also opted for no treatment just like Donna’s mom. She had a good couple of months but she was put in the hospital in December with an infection, pnemonia, etc. She ended up having a heart attack while she was there because of all the meds she was on. She finally decided not to receive anymore blood or platelet transfusions. Her last transfusion was on January 25th or 26th and she was doing ok up until about 2 weeks ago. She is now swelling and unable to get out of bed or hardly talk. She is not taking in any fluids or eating. She just wants to lay there…It’s so sad to see..
But like everyone has said, each person is totally different..but this is what we are going thru right now…I hope it helps some…
My prayers are with you and your dad!!!
