Marie, It’s a very difficult time of year to deal with the recent loss of a loved one, especially a spouse. Find support in your family. You all seem to be very close. I’m thinking of you.

Sorry about your Dad. I know the pain you must be feeling. My mom passed in October and I am alo waiting for the pain to go away. The tears come a little less often but this time of year is very difficult. Find support in family members. That’s what will get you through.

Lisa, I’m crying reading your story. My mom passed away in October. She was in the hospital for about a week but once my sister came up from Virginia and after we showede her pictures of her grandchildren who were not allowed to visit, only then did she feel enough peace to let go. I am so sorry for your loss. I’ll be looking for your poem.

April, Wishing the best for your mom. You never know . Just read the update from Bec. It wasn’t that long ago that her dad was pretty bad off. Try to stay positive. Many prayers going out on this site.

Hi John, My mom’s oncologist did not specialize in treating MDS. When she started on Vidaza she was not on any antibiotics or nutritional supplements which I think are fairly important when getting this treatment. Needless to say she passed away after her first round of Vidaza because of a lung infection.

Memorial Sloane Kettering is I believe a good option for you. Just find a specialist.

Bec, So happy to hear such good news. The last I remember reading about your dad sounded so near the end. He must have some strong will. I am so happy you all have more time to be together. Cherish every moment.

Hi everyone, I also stumbled onto this forum a bit too late. My mom passed away October 10, 2004. I appreciate all the information, support and personal stories shared by everyone. It makes me feel not so alone. I was only on the forum for about 2 weeks so I don’t have a lot of information to share but I feel I need to know what happens to each of you (still waitinfg to hear about Marsha). I especially worry this time of year because colds and flu are everywhere. I hope your all doing well and thanks to all for sharing what you have to offer.
