My father also diagnose with MDS last year, so i want to share this with you. MDS patient have very low body resistance because of low white blood cells, therefore they are susceptible to disease, this may cause infection and fever.

    Hai Marilyn
My father was diagnose with MDS last year, so maybe i can share some information for you. I dont think that condition mean that MDS become AML, u have to do bone marrow to make sure. But that wouldnt nessesary cause MDS itself will show that kind of symptoms. Low platelets will not make u feel lousy, it can cause purpura/blood rash in your skins & internal bleeding. The lousy feeling is cause by low hemoglobin which cause blood can not carry oxygen to flow into the body’s nerves.
Be patiance Marilyn, I pray you can get well soon
