After a 6 week break from Vidaza my husband’s blood tests are much improved. Doctor recommends 6 week break between treatments instead of 3 weeks. Has anyone experienced this?

Are you saying Vidaza stopped working for the lady but began working again later?

Sad to report this is the second month of decreasing blood counts. Doctor says we must consider that Vidaza has stopped working. He has little to offer for future treatment. Very discouraged.

DIANA, So glad to hear your labs are normal! My husband had his labs today and while it was not as good as last month still OK! Doctor has oked a 5 week break if next Month the labs are normal. We are excited about that! You have given us hope that Vidaza might be more than we hoped. Let’s keep in touch.

Thanks,Diana, for your response. My husband finished his 6th cycle. His blood work is normal, a huge improvement from when he began. We would like to take a break for a vacation but his doctor discouraged it. Hard to know what to do. Please let me know your progress.

My husband will start his 5th cycle of Vidaza next week. His numbers improved after cycle 4. Does anyone know if one can take a break from infusions for a month? Or will he always be on the 7 on, 21 off schedule?
