Diane LafontaineParticipant
Hi Owen, follow your doctor’s prescription. Aurora is a great company to get it from. I am taking 50 mg of CBD oil. no THC, it’s not needed. I take it in pill form but it’s more expensive than the liquid. Best of luck. hope you are as blessed as I am at this time. My hemoglobin has been in the normal range for the past 6 months. All my other numbers are just below normal.
Diane LafontaineParticipantTracy Jakusz, I take CBD oil in liquid form. it has no THC in it so you certainly can take it at any time. I take it at night. Try to find out where to buy the best quality in your area.
Diane LafontaineParticipantmk thompson, I’m in Canada so I don’t know how your medical system works. I take CBD oil which is legal in Canada and I have been told that I am in remission. all my numbers are almost all back to the normal range. maybe someone else can help you that is in the US
Diane LafontaineParticipantI started at 1 mg a day and now up to 25 mg a day. I will stay at this level for now. I may lower the dose in a few months and see if that makes a deference on the numbers.
Diane LafontaineParticipantGareth, I am still taking it at this time. I might lower the dose later when all my numbers are in the normal range.
Diane LafontaineParticipantI’m in Canada. I truly believe that CBD oil has brought all my numbers back to the normal range. I saw an increase almost immediately. I went from needing a blood transfusion every 4 weeks to none since Sept 6th 2017. I started the CBD oil on Sept. 13th. The hematologist has said that I am “in remission”. I did not take any chemo. Best of luck
October 21, 2019 at 3:49 pm in reply to: Anyone experience drastic number increases like these?? #49210Diane LafontaineParticipantI was diagnosed with MDS in Sept 2017. At that time they told me that I had maybe a year. I started CBD oil the following week. I refused chemo. I saw an increase in all my blood work starting almost immediately. Now, 2 years later almost all my blood work is in the normal range! I do eat healthier and take oils and vitamins etc but the CBD oil is the one thing that has affected everything. Keep doing what you are doing as it is obviously working. best of luck.
Diane LafontaineParticipantThanks Larry for your answer. My numbers are almost all back in the normal range so I don’t think that I have progressed. Your mouth sores and rash sound familiar. I will ask my specialist about these things next time. thanks.
Diane LafontaineParticipantmy hematologist did prescribed Magic Mouthwash that I will try starting today. thanks.
Diane LafontaineParticipantThanks Roger. I looked up Grovers disease but it doesn’t look like that at all. It is a red, rough, thickened skin rash that is hot to the touch and very very itchy. it first appeared on my left hand in May then went to the right hand. that went away after 4 months but went to my feet and now up both legs. seems to do a certain time and goes away. I have tried numerous things to help heal it but to no avail. I was just wondering if anyone else was dealing with this along with MDS.
Diane LafontaineParticipantNot smooth, very rough. very itchy, red and hot to the touch. looks like dermatitis but the doctor said that it’s not. Since I have never had a rash in my life I was wondering if it is part of the MDS.
Diane LafontaineParticipantI had 8 bone marrow biopsies done by 3 different specialist. Only one gave the possible MDS diagnosis. Since I have been getting better I will be requesting another biopsy in the new year.
Diane LafontaineParticipantThank you Meredith and Allan for replying. I was diagnosed at MDS int-2 so I was high risk. They recommended Vidaza. I refused that treatment. I opted for no treatments except blood transfusion if/when needed. Now i have been downgraded to low risk. Hemoglobin is at 14, platelets 181, WBC 3.2 and RBC 3.99. Numbers are almost back to normal. Has anyone with MDS ever gone back to normal range blood work without a stem cell transplant? Just wondering if I was misdiagnosed.
