thanks for that info – that is exactly what i was thinking about the toxic gran – also speculating that the rise in wbc might be the body fighting the poison
we have an appointment with the local hemodoc tomorrow and another cbc
i am just keeping my fingers crossed that it is not the disease progressing
terri – thanks for you prayers
thanks to the whole forum – it is good to know that we can learn so much by sharing our experiences

as with everything else with mds the length of time between txs varies with each patient – my dad usually goes 4-6 weeks
hope things go well

eveMemberdad has medicare and aarp – takes care of all the doctor visits and procrit shots(i suppose -because dad hasn’t complained to me)

hope your mom is feeling better and home real soon – did they check for any internal bleeding

eveMembercarrie i am so proud of you and anyone else who can donate blood – i have a needle phobia -even tried hypnosis – didn’t work
i am offering a generous reward to anyone who can make me get over the fear (it is not the pain of the needle – it is just the thought – makes me crazy) – it almost sounds insane for a well educated, otherwise rational adult who has given birth to 2 children to get so terribly worked up about getting a shot – but i guess that’s what phobias are all about – there is really no rational reason for the fear
eve
eveMemberterri is absolutely correct – definitely not into the vein

dad had a bmb late november – blasts were 3 – that is why i am confused about the results of the cbc
he will have an extensive cbc on jan 20 when he goes to mt sinai – they take extra blood so that they can check his liver and see if he can take the next treatment of vidaza – i guess i will wait till then unless his weekly tests show a continued risethanks
