My neighbor was a Vietnam vet and doesn’t have cancer but some other ailments. He qualified for disability and got back back pay from the veterans. I’m on another site which is a blood cancer. All of the vets on there have disability from the veterans. Apply immediately and get the money your husband deserves

Some days when I have treatment, I come home and sleep. Other days it’s not necessary. I’m also taking venetoclax in pill form every day. I have high risk MDS.
I have less energy once the chemo starts working a d my blood counts drop. This happens about 14 days after treatment. So far I haven’t needed a blood transfusion.

I’m sure you can walk while you are having treatments. It’s probably a good idea. I’m 77 so I get most of my exercise working around the house.

I would check with your doctor about using any supplements.

It’s hard to say, but you probably would be in better shape right before you are going to start another cycle.

I’m taking an anti nausea pill before treatment and have not had any nausea. The worst side affect I have had is diarrhea.

    Hope this information helps.

    Kathy,
Thanks for responding. I haven’t gotten any other responses.

I wish you all the best with your BMT. My platelets were 19 last Thursday. They had gone from 69 to 10. I’m sure they will go back up.

My doctor never mentioned a BMT. I think it’s because of my age. I’m 77.

    Good luck and thanks again.

    Maria
