My understanding is that one can stay on it as long as it is effective.

If planning to attend, will you please email me at mratliff7@windstream.net so I can plan accordingly for refreshments? Thank you and hope to see you there!

I also have neutropenia and low white blood cells and my local hematologist/oncologist advised me not to have the Shingles vaccine due to my condition.

Hello, I live in Cherokee County (Canton area) and just started attending a support group at Northside Forsyth in Cumming on Thursdays from 12:30-2:00. There is also a gentle yoga class that follows from 2:00-3:00. Also, there is a women’s only cancer support group at Northside Cherokee on the third Wednesday of every month from 12:30-2:00. Both these groups are sponsored by Cancer Support Community Atlanta and are not MDS specific. You must attend an orientation before attending and information can be found at cscatlanta.org. I was able to attend the orientation right before the support group at Forsyth.

I would be very interested in meeting you both. It is so hard to find someone who truly understands this unpredictable condition and can relate to what we are going through. Please feel free to reach out to me at mratliff7@windstream.net. I wish you all the best!
