Mommy lost her fight

  It saddens me to have to report that my mom lost her fight on Friday afternoon. After completing the first round of clorfarabine her wbc’s just wouldn’t come up quickly enough. She developed sepsis 5 days later and just as we were getting a handle on that her lungs filled with fluid. She fought hard and valiantly for seven years, never complaining and always smiling with a good attitude. She was very proud to have been a part of the research to fight this disease and never for a moment regretted any of the decisions to press on and dive into the unknown of trials. Good luck to all of you out there still fighting and remember even the failures will help someone in the future.

  It is with deep regret that we hear of your Mom’s passing. Her spirit lives now in the Realm of Angels and I am sure her courage and suffering has been rewarded.

  Tommy and I send our prayers to you and your family. Losing your mom is so hard. Know that all who benefit from Revlimid will be grateful to your mother and the others who “paved the way” for its approval.
