BMB after 6 cycles show no blasts, pathologist now calling it MPD not CMML, MPD because of high whites.
I just completed round 7 today. Going in my Platelets were 428, whites 30, reds as always, normal. Kind of overwhelming, Good news for now.

Good news, Jack! I think about you often. I sure wish Dad would have tried Dacogen. It just wasn’t in the cards for him I guess. I am so glad you are having such good results with it. Over all how do you feel? I imagine getting rid of that spleen made quite a difference.

Take care and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

    Hi Shari,

For now I am in a sub-cat. of Myeloproliferative Disease called CHRONIC IDIOPATHIC MYELOFIBROSIS, I think this is from my marrow being in a hyperactive state (100%)for so long. I’m not sure what the plus side is, but there has to be one somewhere. I do feel so much better without the 6pd. spleen.
I think of your Father and you often also.

    Jack,

This is the greatest of news for this Thanksgiving Holiday. You and I have been friends through a lot of your trials and trivilations with the CMML.

You are a strong and sensitive man who deserves all of our respect and admiration.

    Congratulations again.

    Sandy B.

    Thanks Sandy,
I guess people find bad news more interesting.

    Hi Jack,

No, I don’t agree that bad news is more interesting. So glad to hear this good news, I agree with Sandy that this is worth giving thanks this holiday.
I just came back from seeing my father in Australia last week and so far he is doing okay, I guess. He has RAEB 1 and so far he just has had a transfusion on 9/11 (weird date), and that has sustained him until now and seeing him in person, he looks like there’s nothing wrong with him.
So to me that was good news and coupled with yours… it’s pretty darn good.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

    Jeanette
