    Carrie? You said your dad had secondary MDS, with Non-hodgkins being the first. If they are talking about a mini-BMT (I believe), is his NHL in remission? The reason I’m asking is that the doc’s at Mayo said that there was a possibility that Dave couldn’t have one because of his NHL and the mortality rate wasn’t very good for him if he got a BMT.

    Yes, dad’s NHL is not active right now. I guess he’s in remission but they never said that for sure. His scan are clear, though.

    It’s still possible that Dad won’t qualify for a mini-BMT. They said it’s really risky and they wouldn’t do anything that they knew would kill him.

    It’s just one of the possibilities. For now, the only certainty is the Vidaza.
