1934 - 2020
My dad, Robert Gourdeau lost his battle with MDS on June 10, 2020. He was diagnosed in August 2017 and faced this diagnosis with strength and humor. Even during treatment, he was an amazing caregiver to my mom until her passing In August 2019. Robert was a proud veteran. He served in the national guard at a young age and then in the navy, serving in Cuba and traveled to places like the North Pole and Greenland. He loved sports, especially football and the NE Patriots. Most of all he loved his family- his son, daughter-in-law, daughter, son-in-law, 6 grandchildren and their spouses and 4 great grandsons. He is very loved and missed but we are all better off for having him as a dad and grandfather.
