Steven Siehr

Steve served in the US Army during the Vietnam War in Karlsruh Germany. He later received his undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Illinois, Champagne-Urbana.

Steve was employed in telecommunications throughout his career. While working at Complete Channel Cable Television he was at the forefront of cable television and local programming in Madison Wisconsin. He was also employed in groundbreaking distance education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Steve had many interests including traveling, spending time with his grandchildren, attending plays and being a “Mr. fix it” to many friends and neighbors. He has an affinity for polar bears, bright “Hawaiian” shirts and pastries. He was best known for his dessert making skills particularly his cheesecakes and chocolate truffles. He was proud of his volunteer work as a Special Registration Deputy where he was responsible for registering hundreds of voters.

Everyone Steve met enjoyed his humor, generosity, kindness and warmth. He will be missed by many.
