Our featured speaker for the webinar is Dr. Sandra Kurtin. Dr. Kurtin is currently The Director of Advanced Practice and a Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner at The University of Arizona Cancer Center where she has practiced for 39 years, 31 of those in Advanced Practice. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Nursing at The University of Arizona. Dr. Kurtin is involved in several professional hematology and oncology organizations and is the immediate past-president of The Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Kurtin is a member of the Board of Directors of The MDS Foundation and Editor and Author of The Building Blocks of Hope series. She has presented numerous regional, national, and international lectures on oncology related topics and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, Cancer Nursing, Clinical Leukemia, Blood, Leukemia Research, The Journal of the Advanced Practitioner in Oncology, and The Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing.
