    I just received my first bill for an Aranesp injection. OUCH!!! Even with insurance my out of pocket expense will likely be around $1600 a month! That includes everything, the aranesp, the injector, the nurse, all of it, but way beyond my means. I feel GREAT! I have not had this much energy for over a year. Nontheless, I can’t work 80 hours a week to pay for this. Anyone know of where I might get some help paying for this?

    Zoe,

    Contact the drug company directly. They frequently have programs to help defray the out of pocket costs of drugs. Also, you can check out http://www.healthwellfoundation.org to see if this would fall under anything they have funds available for right now.
