I am 81 yr. Was diagnosed with MDS 20 months ago. As I said earlier I have been getting Procret injections every week. However, things are not doing as well as they were. RBC3.83 HGB 10.3 platlet 19. I have started having nose bleeds again. ONC says platlet transfusion only lasts a few days. Wanted to start me on Promacta but does not think Medicare would cover it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
