Dear Friends,
With a heavy heart, I share this news of our friend, Dick’s passing. I received an e-mail yesterday from Dick’s son, Randy. Here is the e-mail I received:
“On April 21, 2008, my father Richard B. Frans passed away at his home in California.
He suffered from a rare blood disorder for the past 4 1/2 years that ultimately mutated into
an acute stage of leukemia. I cannot express enough gratitude to my mother for her care
for him. As his condition deteriorated she tended to him all day and literally all night.
She loved him to his last breath and mourns his loss.
My wife and I were honored to spend the last three days of his life with him and will miss him greatly. He was an extraordinary man.
He is survived by his wife Peggy, son Randy, 2 grand daughters, 1 grandson, and 2 daughters in law.
In his final instructions upon his death he requested that all on his email list be notified.
While I have met only a few of you, I thank you all for the friendships and companionships you gave. His death leaves a void in this world.
