Kate, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and George. Hang in there!
SarahJanuary 9, 2005 at 2:07 pm #2933ChristinaMemberHi Kate – What were Georges numbers today? When you said his hmg was 6 is it 6.0 or o.6. Same for the platlets were they 6 or 6K(thousand)? My mom has been with my dad because my brother and I have been sick so we are not allowed to go visit him. This makes me feel even worse although I know we can’t! My mother has been trying to act strong but every so often breaks down to me. I am not sure what to say either – we can only pray and be there for each other. I’ll look for your update later on!! Christina

January 11, 2005 at 4:54 pm #2939mommachkateMemberHi All, George still in the hospital. They found an infection in the blood, from his groshon. He has to be a certain antibiotikum for 2 or 3 weeks, to try to save the groshon. If it doesn,t work, they will have to remove the groshon. He will get the treatments in the doctor’s office. He maybe able to come home tomorrow. Kidney, heart, lung is oke. This is the first day, that he feels better, he eats very well, so everything looks more hopefull. I hope , maybe tonight I can write more details, but again I have to go back to the hospital. Thank you all for caring. Kate

~LisaJanuary 17, 2005 at 1:23 pm #2945mommachkateMemberHi All, George still in the hospital, getting antibiotikum every day. He had a test for the spleen Friday, and after this test he started to be dizzy and he can’t walk alone now. We had to get him a walker. He got two unit of blood again.I am so frustrated. I was told I can’t change doctor when he is in the hospital.I don’t know if I should take him out, then he has to go every day for the antibiotikum treatment to the doctor’s office, that would be so trying for him.I just don’t know what to do???? Kate
January 17, 2005 at 1:30 pm #2946eveMemberhi kate
so sorry george is not feeling any better – if you can’t change doctors while he is in the hospital maybe you can get a copy of all his records and take them to another doctor for another opinion
good luck
eve
