I am trying to figure out what to do about my job.

My mom is blind and diagnosed with very high risk MDS the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

It looks like she will either be having treatment, labs or seeing the oncologist 9 work days a month. Plus she has other specialists she sees.

Her hgb has dropped pretty fast so she will probably need a transfusion this week and she just had 3 units 2 weeks ago.

How often should I expect extra appts related to MDS such as transfusions, BMB etc?

I have no FMLA I was out late April-July with a broken foot that required surgery, pins, non-weight bearing, infection.
