I am not sure, that the increase in the blast in the marrow and the whiteblood cell increase was paralel. His wbc was very high in the last few month, but in the hospital they pushed it down with hydrea, and his blast stii was high. I belive the wbc increase was due to infections. I am sorry, but this question never came up for me, I can’t give you an answer. I am sure that Neil, Suzanne and a lot of other people has more knowledge about this subject. Best wishes:Kate

Infections will make the WBC elevate. WHen you are fighting off something the Whites elevate. When Bobs were elevating he had no other symptons of being sick or infections and His white increase did parallel with the blast increasing.
