I’ve been getting Retacrit injections weekly for about 11 months and rbc transfusions approximately every 6 weeks. Hemoglobin usually peaks around 10 or so after transfusion. It slowly comes down over 6 week period to 7.5 or slightly higher. My energy level seems to improve after transfusion. That being said, I have received notice from Medicare that they will no longer approve payment for Retacrit .My question is what has been the next treatment for individuals stopping Retacrit? And information would be most appreciated. Thanks
