I met with my hematologist today. He said I likely have MDS. However, because of my age (47) he is sending me to another specialist for a second opinion. Chromosome 5 is abnormal, and another one. I have to call back tomorrow to find out for sure which…I was too much in shock to ask too many questions today.

I am going to re-read through some of these threads while I let this soak in. I am still too much in shock for questions tonight. I guess I just need to tell people, it helps me get used to the idea so I can adjust.

Maybe that’s weird, but it is me :p

Its not weird. Welcome to forum. Hope you find out more tomorrow. You will find alot of information and support here. Take it one day at a time.
