Hello all, my mom is 81 with late stages of mds/mylofibrosis. She went through 2 years of vidaza and then it stopped working. She then stopped chemo and started having platelets when needed. It got to the point that her body just couldn’t keep her platelets up. She then started Promacto but she began to have extreme dizziness and had a fall. She has decided to stop platelets and Promacto and go to the Lord when he takes her. She will be released from the hospital tomorrow on hospice. How long can she live without any severe decline? Any words of wisdom? Please share your stories if you would like to.
