Terri, I was just checking in & saw your post. I am so sorry about Bob’s passing. You guys were always such a source of strength for me when my father was going through his journey.
I am wishing you peace that passes understanding. May you find strength through your memories & love.

Eve, I am so sorry for your loss. You & your family are in my thoughts & prayers.

I second your advice about paying attention to symptoms of infection. It can obviously make a huge difference.

My father was on Trisenox. It was apparently working for him; his counts had begun to come improve. He wasn’t on anything in addition to it beside frequent transfusions.

I’m so glad that your mom is feeling well. Such a breath of fresh air! I wish her many MANY days of feeling well & good news at her doc. visit in 6 weeks.

Hi, it seems like my dad’s white’s were really high at one point and then came way down while he was on Vidaza. Never as far as your dad’s, but significantly lower. His problem was always his platelet count. He had a very hard time keeping it up.

What kind of tx. is your dad getting? I know that with some tx. Lasix needs to be given to keep fluid from building up. I beleive that is with red or whole blood.

Dee, my father was on a low dose & from what I can recall, didn’t experience any significant side effects.

I’m sorry things are challenging for you…. Keep the faith though & it will work out alright.
