Here in Romania doctors don’t really take care of you if you don’t give them a fat “tip”(you have to pay them separately although we have health insurance and we pay taxex and everything)And even so they are not to interested in makinng you better they just act with a little more compasion. I personaly started taking care of my self ,Taking decisions after informing my self about the risks and the benefits . I have a friend who is a doctor and he explains some of the things although he is not a hamatologist. What I mean to say is that I can understand you frustration and I am sorry you have to go through such a period.Best wishes to you and have hope. There will be better days

Hello again and thank you for everything.I found on the page Neil reccomanded something “Acquired sideroblastic anemia may be cured when the condition that causes it is treated or removed.”But so far for me nobody knows why I have it .I did tests both in Romania and Paris but they couldn’t tell me what the cause is nor if I have it because something caused it or I inheretede it.So far I know that in my family there has never been such a case.I would like to know if there is a certain test I should have or if this could have been caused by a Staphylococcus .I starting having problems exactly after having dicovred I had this infection.A class mate had this and I might have took it from her 3 years ago. After the treatment I ‘ve come to discover that when I have a cold or the flue I don’t have high fever any more .But I have the test for Staphylococcus every month and sometimes it reappears. And to answer some of lindajo’s questions I am 21 but I found out about this anaemia 3 years ago at 19 . And yes we have surgate motherhood here. And I thing this is a good ideea that I hadn’t taken into account. I am not yet married but my only wish in life is to have a nice healthy child. Thank you again for the info

I do not mean to let you get the wrong ideea that I’m against doctors or anything -my best friend is a doc and a very good one …but the thing with giving you a period of time to live that is pathetic . If we were all taking in to account the average period for each disease maybe most of us would be dead by now .So keep on hoping . You never know where the miracle comes from. We are hear for you too. I’ll pray that your father gets better .I agree that it’s a terrible disease. I hope someone will find a cure soon .All my best wishes to you and your dad Alexa

Hi Kate!!! It’s really very good news that George is at home and he is feeling better. As for the doctors prediction “He was told there , that he has 3 month to 1 year to live” well if they are so sure of it then the rest is in your heands . beyond medicine there is the power of ones self . Keep the good spirit up pray and NEVER let hope go away. George has it in himself to make it better. I’ve heard of people who seriously made their diseses better by keeping their hope and encoureging themselves . I’m talking about people who went over what the docs said and kept on fighting . although it has been a hard way for you I’m sure you will find in yourselves the power to go on fighting . We all know it’s a long way but we are all here to suport you when it gets to hard. I will continue praying for you . Alexa
