I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope that she’s comfortable. I also hope I’m alive at 91 and beyond .

I haven’t heard anything in a couple of days so I guess everything is good so far. Dad had his last injection yesterday morning (Sunday) and so I guess we’re waiting for the drops to count and come back up .

Wow! You’ve had secondary MDS since 1992!!!!! That’s great! (Not for having the MDS but for beating a ton of odds).

Thanks for the information. I’ll ask my mom tonight.

Once while dad was receiving chemo for his NHL, he got red man’s face. They started giving him Benadryl for that so I think that they’re very cautious .

Woohoo! And I HAD to eat sugar afterwards (despite my diet ).

Ispent a lot of time counting until I had to squeeze the ball again (every 5 to 10 seconds). That actually helps a lot… counting .

I’m done! It went much faster than I thought it would and I only got a little dizzy at the end .

Wow, I didn’t expect so many responses! Thank you all! I’m going into this with all of your suggestions in mind and I’ll post an update .

I just ate some Special K and took my iron supplement. I had steak and a bunch of broccoli last night. I should have really good blood!

All of you will be there in my head, holding my hand .

I’m sorry to hear the news but it must be heartening to read Vance’s post about his wife’s transplant. I’ll pray they find a match for you ASAP.
