I can’t really help you but welcome to the board. Sorry you have to be here but I’m glad you came for advice. There are really friendly, caring, and knowledgeable people on this board.

My father has secondary MDS (from treatments from another cancer) and his treatments are different than people like your father with primary MDS. Soooo… I probably won’t be able to advise you.

I can’t really help but I hope that she gets better soon.

My mother was septic (septicemia?) many years ago but she didn’t have other complications like yours does and she recovered in a few days. I don’t know what sepsis does to someone in your mom’s position.

Yes, dad’s NHL is not active right now. I guess he’s in remission but they never said that for sure. His scan are clear, though.

It’s still possible that Dad won’t qualify for a mini-BMT. They said it’s really risky and they wouldn’t do anything that they knew would kill him.

It’s just one of the possibilities. For now, the only certainty is the Vidaza.
