My husbands WBC is 2.7 and SEGS/NEUT 54.7/ LYMPHS 27.8 / MONO 11.9 / EOS 4.5 / BASOS 1.1… can someone with some experience explain to me the meaning of these numbers…. this is a terrible disease. I had a kidney Transplant about 2.5 yrs ago and 5 mos ago I had both my native kidneys removed………… I am on so much meds that I sometimes have trouble thinking . As you can see I need all the help I can get.

My husband had sores all over his back legs that looked almost like cigarette burns. He was miserable with these for several years and the Dr’s never dx it. He had surgery and took blood and they just went away. He was dx with MDS/no chrome defect. Is this a pre MDS symptom?? The more I read I think it is.

I am hoping someone will be able to answer my question. My husband has MDS with no Chrom defect. He was officially diag. last Dec. 06 but I know this has been going on for several years.
He is Tx dependent every 2 weeks and over the past several weeks his PLT keeps going up – 155 to
186 today… his wbc 3.8 and this is going up slightly each week RBG 2.87 HCT 28.7, HBG 9.9. This is after blood last week. I was wondering does the numbers rise showly…. any input would be great. I read all the post and have learned so much.

I visit this site often, actually each day because my husband has MDS and is going down fast… I read all the posts and have learned so much and I also find that when someone has a different view that is OK. We are all different and what works for one does not work for all. The will to live and cooperation from the patient is really the determining factor for the caregiver. So from my point of view… I want to hear it all… it makes me stop and think for myself. So please share it all, there are lots of us who read and don’t post often.
