MemberChristina, I made a bubu, somehow I pushed the add reply, before I finished the post. His plt are going up. That would be a sign that the Vidaza working. But why is all the other numbers are so low? Maybe it is also the initial reaction for the last round of Vidaza? I read somewhere, that sometimes they have to lower the dose. As far as the doctors: George is in the hospital since Monday. He was wisited by his hemo every day , than Wednesday he called a heart and a kidney specialist for him. I can’t get a straight answer from any of them.George hopefully is coming home tomorrow. He got 7 unit of blood and two unit of plt this week.He is feeling a little better today,so I was able to leave earlier.I hope your father getting better soon, our best wishes for his recovery. MemberHi All, I can only say, that in my family several illnes was treated by alternative medicin professinals (not even doctor) with good result. Of cause, you have to be carefull, who is advising you.I do belive in vitamins and nutritions, and I also belive it is very hard to find a well researched and competent MD.But if you find one , you should discuss with him the nutritions, vitamins you are taking. MemberHi All, I don’t want to be a downer, but the information sheet for Aranesp say”For cancer patients with cemotherapy induced anemia.Aranesp is prescribed to treat chemotherapy induced anemia in patients with NONMYELOID malignancies.” It is also says that it is lasts three times longer in your body, than Procrit. I am only guessing, but if someone doesn’t have secondary MDS, that person probably shouldn’t get Procrit or Aranesp. Regardles, George doctor tried both with negative result.Kate
Hi Neil, Could you explain what is Nonmyeloid malignancy?Thank you Katemommachkate
