    karen,

I have 2 kids.. i stayed with my dad and mom for 6 months away from my husband. My kids quit school.. it was very tough..My dad died after I got back.

This disease is very wearing out – no doubt about that.

Just take 1 day at a time and cherish your time with your dad & be there for him (thats tough with 2 kids and a husband)..

    Hi Debe,

I lost my dad last october. Just pray real hard and give your mom moral support. My dad was just 68 and he was not ready to give up the fight.. and neither was I. But, being by my fathers side through out helped ease my pain a bit and also for my dad, he felt better having me around. I think its really important to let your parents know that they are dearly loved.

    Dear Lisa,

Your sadness reminds me of my sadness.. and the way my dad passed away too. Its soo sad.. I can feel your grief.. my dad’s kidneys failed too!! Even till today I am trying to understand why God makes us love someone so much and then takes them away from us… then I think of all those people who died because of the tsunami… they did not even know it was coming.. they did not even have time to tell each other that they loved each other..

Just be a source of strength to your mom and I can only hope God gives you the strength.
