International Childhood Cancer Day is February 15

Learning your child has cancer is unimaginable, and you may struggle with what to do first. Finding out more about the exact diagnosis, exploring credible resources and ensuring you have access to the best care available will be your priorities. February 15 is set aside to raise awareness globally about childhood cancer and to express support for children and adolescents with cancer and their families. The goal of the World Health Organization Global Childhood Cancer Initiative is to achieve at least 60 percent survival for children diagnosed with cancer around the world by 2030. The premise is anchored in the idea that childhood deaths are avoidable with timely, accurate diagnoses and access to quality essential medicines with proper treatment and care.
