    Hello all.
This is Cecilia from South Korea.
Even I’m in long distance but I have helped though this web site, thanks.

My dad(64 y.o) diagnosed MDS last Feb, and have finished 1st round of Dacogen on first week of April.
He’s doing great on himself and support him as mush as I can.
But the thing is he has racking gout since MDS follows. (he used to has it only few times annually, now getting worse)
And he takes 2 tables of solondo per day, but it still trouble.
Continuously swelling, pain relief helps only that pain.

Is there any better way? or so?
    Thanks.

Hi Cecilia, Thank you for your post with information regarding your father’s MDS. I know this is a difficult situation for you and I would recommend that you take him to one of our Centers of Excellence in MDS. We have two MDS Centers of Excellence in South Korea. Following is a link to our Centers of Excellence worldwide https://www.mds-foundation.org/mds-centeres-of-excellence/. In the meantime, you can do a search of this forum for gout and you can also view this video https://www.mds-foundation.org/bboh/. I hope this information helps.
