Hans & I saw his hematologist today. We are seeing a transplant specialist at Princess Margaret Hospital (Toronto) on Friday. He said to go prepared to be admitted as his condition is
continuing to decline. His WBC is up to 192 (it was 126 a week before) and the blasts are up, too. He figures they will start induction chemo immediately.

We are really scared.

OMG Esme…I can’t imagine what you and Hans are going through right now. Please try not to worry (sorry, I’m sure it’s much easier said than done). Jimbob, another panel member had a very high white count before a SCT and now he’s been free of CMML for almost a year!

Thanks to everyone…we are up early to get to our 9:30 appt at Princess Margaret. Hans is pretty emotional…I know what’s going through his mind, that he might never come home. I’m SURE he will. We have a lot of people praying & sending their positive thoughts.

I will update when I get home tomorrow.
