    Jocelyn,

I’ve been dealing with MDS here in Canada for the past 2 years.I’ve found that many of the drugs being used for MDS in the US are not available in Canada. My DR. had tried to get a couple of different drugs but couldn’t.

Hi Jocelyn, I live in vancouver and feel the same as Dave. The drugs that the people talk about on this forum don’t seem to be available here. They did mention chemo to mom — I’m not sure what type of drug they were offering. Closest centre of excellence I believe is Seattle or Toronto. You could try calling the local red cross here in Vancouver and ask them what exactly is being offered here in Canada. The Red Cross here in Vancouver does have a MDS support group. I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of the patient liason, I could find it though if you are interested.
