    Hello,

18 months ago I was diagnosed MDS-RS-SLD. Low risk, no treatment, watch and wait. Hemoglobin now 9.9. Saw my doctor Friday. My monocytes are up, so now he thinks I have CMML (myelomonocytic leukemia). Still no treatment, wait and watch. Anyone else have CMML? Is it possible to have both? I was like a deer in headlights, so I froze and dint ask doctor questions.

Thanks to all and Happy Thanksging to those who celebrate the day. Yummmm

My husband is diagnosed with MDS (5Q) and CLL. He does get transfusions, tried retrocrit (did not work) and now trying Reboysl (has had two shots thus far–not much a an increase in hemoglobin count). He goes to Southwestern in Dallas to meet with a specialist next month. He feels pretty crummy.

The MDS is not related to previous radiation or chemo.
He goes to hematologist weekly for blood work.

Infact, we go to same hematologist. I have ET (too many platelets), which has progressed to PV (hemoglobin too high (18.6) and will have a phlebotomy next week…
