My Dad, age 81, was diagnosed with low risk MDS in 2010 – We have been to Emory and have been on watch and wait for the last 7 years! His absolute neutrophil # has dropped to 320, WBC 1.3, platelets 49 and red blood 3.38 he has never been anemic and has never had a transfusion — his specialist is recommending Vidaza — I have reached out to Celgene medical research but have been unable to find treatment results for low risk MDS patients ——–is there anyone out there that can provide info for low risk non-anemic patient that has taken vidaza ?
