His counts are the highest they’ve been in a very long time and he started the Vidaza again on Monday (Feb 28th).

Despite his infection, maybe the Vidaza is working for him? smile

I guess we’ll see after this and the next round?

Good to hear the news. Hope it continues. Bob finished is fourth round last week. Today was his IV of Ferracit (Iron,) and the weekly cbc.
Hgb is down to 10, plts 75, whites and reds normal.
They told us it takes about four weeks for the Feracit to start working- today was only the third week. I hope the hgb starts climbing once this stuff starts working. He hasn’t needed a tx for so long.

And Also I forgot who told me about the Arnica Gel for the bruising but Thank you, it is helping to some degree.

We see the Doc next week, they will do a smear of the blood and we will see what the doctor sees. Hopefully he will see that the cells are getting better.

    Carrie-
Glad your Dad is doing well. My Dad also started his 3rd round on Monday – so far seems OK. He had to have a platelet transfusion on Monday (first time for any transfusion). His numbers have gone up and down – he had an infection but that seems to be gone now. His white count has bounced around and that is something that was always low so we’ll see. This round seems to be going smoother than the last so I’m hopeful the week will continue that way.
Let me know how he does after this treatment.
