Low fever and cough

Anyone else experience low grade fever (under the 100.4) and cough? My dads hemoglobin is usually 7 or under and gets transfusions, the red, white and platelets are always real low as well. His doctor doesn’t seem concerned. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
