No change. It hasn’t progressed to leukemia!!!!!

    YAY!!! smile

On the other end, he has to get the c-diff infection to stop. His doctor thinks that’s the reason his count won’t come up. He’s on vancomycin and flagyl. After they get the infection under control, she wants to start over with the Vidaza.

I was so convinced that he had progressed that I didn’t know what to do when I found out he hadn’t. I am so relieved!

Thanks for your encouragement and prayers. They’re working smile

    Carrie,

I am so glad for you. That is some really good news! I am sure it also made your Dad feel a lot better too. Just keep wishing those nasty mad blasts away.

Great news Carrie I truly believe Vidaza is helping so many keep the blasts in check. Dad is on his 5th round this week and so far is doing well with it – taking himself. He was dreading it but so far so good and his numbers are holding on pretty well – expect them to drop next week. Jump up and down with the good results!!

    Carrie,

Glad for you. My mom got her results back from her BMB today and well she must have made a change for the wrose cause next week we go to Columbus Clinic to start the BMT work up. It will be a very taxing on us. hope your dad continues to do well.

Julie Marie, Good luck to your mom on the BMT workup. Is this just the beginning of that or have siblings already been checked for a match. luckily she is young enough that an unrelated donor may be considered. i understand it is still the best chance for a cure- even if the process is taxing for everyone.
