Dad has been doing well (compared to a couple of weeks ago).
Latest news is that he still has an infection with mostly a low-grade fever and there is fluid in his lungs. They’re pumping him with platelets now and extracting some of the fluid today.
They also would like to see him get stronger and he’s not progressing as well in the PT as he originally was. So they’re going to start him on steroids. Maybe I’ll nickname him Ahnold wink .
He doesn’t remember much of the worst days (a blessing!) and his overall spirit has been good. He’d love to get better and go home but he knows that he’s in this for the long run.
They won’t be doing a bone marrow biopsy yet. He’s still very weak. But the doctor said that his peripheral blood has been showing frequently fluctuating blast percentages.
I talk to him daily and I’ve told him how proud I am of him and how much I love him.
My mom reads the board regularly although she doesn’t post so… if you’re reading this… “HI MOM!!” She even said the other day “You haven’t posted anything lately.” Very surprising! Hee hee smile .
Everyone, thank you for listening and for all of your support and prayers. They’re definitely helping.
    Love,
    Carrie

Thanks everyone! He’s still doing okay but his fever is higher and he’s back on oxygen. He had about 12 oz of fluid removed from this lungs on Friday that they sent to pathology. We hope to hear more today.

Thanks for the messages and the Hellos to my mom. I don’t think she’s been here since Friday so I’ll bump this message up for her to read.

    Love,
    Carrie
