My parents celebrated this yesterday and it was a good day smile .

Dad’s been feeling gradually better the last few days. I’m not sure how he’s doing today but he did have a lot of excitement yesterday so hopefully he didn’t overdo himself.

Nothing new going on as of last night smile .

One side note: My fiance applied for a new position and had an interview on Saturday. It went really well. It would be an awesome job and we’re really hoping he gets it smile .

    Love,
    Carrie

    Carrie,
Congrats to your parents on their 34th anniversary. Sometimes when I have a big day the next day I tend to be really low-key so wouldn’t surprise me if your dad is the same way.

Good luck to your fiance’ on his new position. Will say a prayer for him to help.

    God Bless, Marsha

    Carrie,
I’m glad to hear your dad is doing better…
sorry they had to spend their anniversary in the hospital… Next year maybe all will be well and they can do it up…
My husband is hanging out at hotel Roswell on 6N… I like the pediatric floor… big kitchen and play room… past couple days a 6 year old girl has been riding her bike around the hallways…
My husband can’t seem to shake this Celullitis and his SCT was now postponed…
he is getting very depressed… I try to cheer him up but…
they are going to send him home once they can figure out what is wrong, and treat him with some heavy antibiotics and then he can try again in 6-8 wks…
hoping for some relief, take care, di

Dad seemed to have a good day yesterday, too. He’s getting a little better every day smile .

Di, I thought for sure that Scott would be out of the hospital already. I’m sorry that he’s not frown . I hope his spirits get better. Who can blame him for being a little bummed?

    Love,
    Carrie

    Thank you all, again!

Dad’s STILL doing good. No fever, no bipap, talking quite a bit and walking (a little)!

He went to PT today and first walked 6 steps, then 4, then 2 (with breaks in between). His nurses came down and cheered him on!

Dr. Baer hinted that they’re still trying to move him to a rehab center so I guess they’re moving things along there.

Also, I got a plane ticket to see him on the weekend of the 27th which is his 55th birthday smile . I’ve been thinking about it and wanting to suprise him. I mentioned it to my mom and yesterday dad said, “Carrie hasn’t been here for a while. Maybe she should come up for a weekend.” smile smile smile Well, that sealed the deal smile .

I’m excited to see him and I hope by then that he’s in rehab.

    Love,
    Carrie

Good luck to your husband as well, and I know you are excited about going home. It is hard when you live away from family.
