My mother has MDS and has undergone 6 months of Vidaza with no effect. She is maintaining on transfusions now. She has developed a severe dry cough that is pretty continual that none of the doctors seem able to diagnose. Has anyone else with MDS had this issue? If so, what was done about it?

Look into her other meds. My wife developed a dry cough after starting Lotrel for blood pressure. As soon as she switched it, the cough stopped.

Thanks. She started Advair yesterday (an asthma medication) and it seems to be of some help.
