My wife, age 72, initial dx ALL; BMT 21 years ago; started tx for MDS in July, 2018. RAEB-1; IPSS-R Score 6. MDS dx date: 08/23/2017

Yesterday Dr. report no chemo this week, typically her chemo (Vidaza) has been every fourth week, due to high % Mono, 24%; last week her % Mono was 14.8.

Dr. said this is not good. Does this mean she is transitioning to AML?

Hi Jim, If your wife’s blasts are nearing the 20% range this shows a sign of progression to AML. Are they considering another transplant?
